She received her first degree, Bachelor of Arts (Special) in Sociology with First Class Honors from the Faculty of Social Sciences, the University of Kelaniya in 2010.&nbsp; She has completed her Master of Social Sciences Degree Programme with a research component in 2016 from the University of Kelaniya. She has joined as the Post of Temporary Lecturer of the Department of Social Sciences in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka in 2013, and she was able to attach the department as a probationary lecturer in 2017. Before she becomes a lecturer, she has joined various research institutes and has done researches in a variety of subjects related to sociology, both individually and in groups. It has included suggestions for the enhancement of living conditions base on the Bogaswewa Sinhalese people, Vavuniya during the post war period.
