\"\" Biography<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dr. M.M. Samali Ayoma Marasinghe is a Senior Lecturer in Environmental Management at the Department of Environmental Management, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, Mihintale, Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Marasinghe earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with a specialization in Geography from the University of Kelaniya in 2006. She further obtained her Master of Social Sciences (MSSc) in Geography from the same university in 2013. She completed her Ph.D. in Environmental Science at the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tianjin University, China, in March 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a dynamic researcher, Dr. Marasinghe has over 18 years of experience in teaching, advising, and conducting research in the field of Environmental Management. In addition to her current role, she has also worked as a lecturer and visiting lecturer at the University of Kelaniya, the University of Sabaragamuwa, and the National Institute of Social Work. Dr. Marasinghe is committed to both individual and collaborative research in areas such as Land Use, Waste Management, Environmental Issues, Indoor Environments, and Health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has published more than 25 journal articles, including works in SCI and SSCI-indexed journals, as well as other peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Marasinghe has presented her research at over 19 international and national conferences and authored three books. Her publications in prestigious journals such as Environment International, Building and Environment, Sustainability, and Science and Technology for the Built Environment cover diverse research areas, including Waste Management, Land Use, Environmental Management, and Indoor Environment and Health. Notably, her research spans both Sri Lanka and China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Marasinghe\u2019s recent scholarly activities include serving as a reviewer for over six peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. She has been a resource person in more than 17 workshops at both university and national levels and has served as chairperson at several research conferences. Additionally, she initiated a waste management project at Rajarata University of Sri Lanka and has been a research consultant for the Sanitary Landfilling Project funded by the Central Environmental Authority.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
