Manuscript Submission Guidelines<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Department of Social Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka invites original research articles for publication in its academic journal. Authors are requested to follow the standard manuscript preparation guidelines given below when submitting their papers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is also the responsibility of the authors to maintain the international standard of writing style and technological trends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All extracts and the intellectual property of other authors should be apparently confirmed. Short extracts should be highlighted with relevant punctuation marks and long extracts should be highlighted within inverted commas 1 cm from both left and right sides in the main text.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Language<\/strong>
<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

All manuscripts must be written in English<\/strong> using clear academic language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Word Count<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Full research articles: 6000\u20138000 words<\/strong> (excluding references and abstract)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    3. Abstract and Keywords<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • Abstract should be 300 words<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • It should clearly state the research problem, objectives, methodology, key findings, and conclusion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Provide 5 keywords<\/strong> below the abstract.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      4. Manuscript Structure<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      The manuscript should be organized in the following order:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Abstract<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Introduction<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Literature Review<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Methodology<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Findings\/Results<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Discussion<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Conclusion<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • References<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        5. Formatting Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
          \n
        • Font: Times New Roman<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Font size: 11<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Titles and Sub titles : 11 (Bolt)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Line spacing: 1.5<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Margins: 1 inch on all sides<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Alignment: Justified<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Page numbers at the bottom centre<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Title of the paper and Author name(s) and institutional affiliation(s) should be added in the correct format.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Ex:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          1 author\u2019s name*1<\/sup>, 2 authors name2<\/sup>
          1<\/sup>Department of Social Sciences, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, Mihinthale
          2<\/sup>Department of Social Sciences, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, Mihinthale (affiliation)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Provide your email address and contact number<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          • If there are tables and figures, the topics of the tables should appear over the relevant tables and topics of the figures should appear under the relevant figures. The relevant sources should appear under the tables and figures. It is also essential to number the tables and figures separately.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            6. Referencing Style<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

            All citations and references must follow APA 7th edition<\/strong> referencing style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            7. Originality<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
              \n
            • Manuscripts must be original and unpublished work.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • The paper should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Proper citation must be given for all sources used.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

              8. Submission Deadline<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

              The final submission deadline for manuscripts is 30th June 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

              9. Submission Process<\/strong>
              <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

              Authors should submit their manuscripts in MS Word format and PDF format<\/strong> through the official email or submission portal of the Department of Social Sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              10. Review Process<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

              All submitted manuscripts will undergo a peer-review process<\/strong>. The editorial board reserves the right to accept, reject, or request revisions based on reviewer comments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
