All submissions must follow the format and structure provided below to ensure consistency and quality in the review and publication process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Language and Formatting<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Language: English<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Font: Times New Roman<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Font Size:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Title: 16 pt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Headings: 14 pt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Body Text: 12 pt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Word Limit: Maximum 5000 words (including references, tables, and figures)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>File Format: Microsoft Word (doc or .docx)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the automatic page numbering function to number the pages.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Line space: 1.5<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Margins: left 1.5 inches and 1 inch for each side<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Layout: Manuscripts should be clearly structured, well-edited, and formatted for easy review.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Manuscript Structure<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Please format your article using the following components:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Title<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Should be relevant, concise, and reflect the core content of the article.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Author Details<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Include the full name, educational qualifications, institutional affiliation, designation, email address, and contact number of each author.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clearly mark the corresponding author with an asterisk (*).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A completed Author Declaration Form (Form No. 01) must be submitted separately.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Abstract (200-250 words, in a single paragraph)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The abstract must summarize the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Introduction &#8211; Brief background and research aim<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Methodology &#8211; Outline of the research approach<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Results &#8211; Key findings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Discussion &#8211; Summary of main interpretations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conclusion &#8211; General conclusion and significance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keywords &#8211; Include 5 keywords that reflect the core content of the article.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Main Sections of the Manuscript<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Introduction<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Establish the context, research gap, aim, objectives, and (if applicable) hypothesis. Cite recent and relevant literature. Mention the geographical focus if field-based.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Methodology<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Explain data collection, sampling, analysis techniques, and any tools or software used. Present the methods clearly to enable reproducibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Results<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Present findings in a clear and objective manner. Use tables, charts, or figures where applicable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Discussion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interpret the findings in relation to the research questions, objectives, and existing literature. Highlight the contributions and limitations of the study. Future research directions may also be included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Conclusion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Summarize the main findings and state whether the research achieved its objectives. Do not introduce new information here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Acknowledgment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(Optional) Acknowledge individuals or institutions that supported the research, either financially or otherwise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bibliography<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Use the <strong>APA style<\/strong> consistently. All cited figures, tables, or illustrations taken from other sources must be properly referenced with their original publication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4. Artwork and Figures<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Please adhere to the following charts, images, and illustrations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Image Format:<\/strong> JPEG (for photographs), PNG, or TIFF<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Graphical Format:<\/strong> Use applications that preserve quality (e.g., MS Word, Excel, Illustrator)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Placement:<\/strong> Embed figures\/tables within the manuscript where they are referenced (not at the end)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Captions:<\/strong> All figures and tables must have appropriate titles and sources (if applicable)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Resolution:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Images: Minimum 300 dpi<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Line art: Minimum 800 dpi<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>External Files:<\/strong> If figures are created in external software (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint), submit them as <strong>separate files<\/strong> with a placeholder in the text (e.g., \u201c[Insert Figure 1 here]\u201d)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>5. Additional Formatting Guidelines<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Abbreviations<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All abbreviations must be clearly defined at their first occurrence in the text.<br><em>Example: Geographic Information Systems (GIS)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use abbreviations consistently throughout the manuscript once introduced.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Non-English Words<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Scientific names (e.g., species names) should be written in <em>italics<\/em>.<br><em>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; *Example: Ficus religiosa<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sinhala or other non-English words should be placed within inverted commas.<br><em>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Example: the term \u201cmahajana weda gedara\u201d refers to&#8230;<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Footnotes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The use of footnotes is discouraged.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Authors are advised to incorporate relevant information directly into the main text wherever possible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>6. Submission Process<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Submission Method:<\/strong> Email the completed manuscript to <strong>jote_doem@ssh.rjt.ac.lk<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Submission Deadline:<\/strong> On or before the announced closing date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>7. Review and Publication Process<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure academic quality and objectivity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Editor-in-Chief will communicate directly with the corresponding author regarding the progress and status of the manuscript.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upon acceptance, authors will receive galley proofs for final review and approval before publication.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Finalized articles will be published in the \u2018Previous Issues\u2019 section of the journal website.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>8.
