Biography

Ms. TMCD Senarathna joined the Department and Social sciences in 2019 as a probationary lecturer. Before joining the Department, she served as the Head (Lecturer) of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education, Anuradhapura. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism and Cultural Resources Management with First class being the batch top in Tourism and Cultural Resources Management, 2016 and she was awarded the “Best Performance of Tourism and Cultural Resources Management” at the General Convocation held in 2016 at University of Kelaniya. She did her Postgraduate studies at the University of Kelaniya and University of Colombo in Tourism Economics and Hotel Management. Her research interests include in the fields of Eco Tourism Cultural Tourism, Nature Tourism and Travel and Hospitality Industry. She has published more than 15 research papers in the international and local journals
