
Biography
Ven. Keembiye Anuruddhasiri is a Temporary Assistant Lecturer in Sinhala at the Department of Languages, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. He holds a BA (Hons) in Sinhala from the University of Kelaniya (2022) and is currently reading for an M.Phil. in Sinhala at the University of Peradeniya, and he also obtained the Prācīna Pandit Degree, securing 3rd place on the island. His work has received national recognition, including the longlisting of ‘විවර කළ වා කවුළු’ for the Vidarshana Literary Prize (2024) and the awarding of the Publication Grant (2025) by the National Library and Documentation Services Board of Sri Lanka for ‘සඳස් කැඩපත’, which was selected among the five best works under the Scholarly and Research Publications category. He has served as a Junior Fellow and Visiting Lecturer at the University of Kelaniya and has also served at Vidyodaya Pirivena. His research interests include Classical Sinhala Literature, Metrics and Poetics, Grammar, Historical Linguistics, Literary Criticism, and Modern Sinhala Verse.
