A book donation for undergraduates who pause the Hindi language for the B.A. degree by the Director of Indian Council for Cultural Relations and Swami Vivekanand Cultural Center, Colombo, Prof. Ankuran Dutta as per the request of the Ven. Prof. Olaganwatte Chandasiri Thero, the Head of the Department of Language, and the recommendation of Sen Prof. Lakshman Seneviratne. A warm welcome and an occasion were held on 23rd August 2023 at the faculty premises under the chairmanship of the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof. Thusitha Mendis, faculty members, and students followed by a fruitful meeting with the Vice-chancellor to discuss further collaborative projects. More than 150 books related to Hindi literature, culture, and grammar and some paintings for the department were donated on this occasion
